Worldwide Spending on Healthcare

The following table gives you an idea of how much money is spent on healthcare in various countries worldwide, and who pays for it. There are great disparities between countries. In general, governments in wealthy countries pay for a higher percentage of national healthcare spending than poor countries. Also, countries with a high percentage of people age 65+ are appealing markets for medical device companies because this demographic accounts for a large percentage of overall healthcare expenditures.
